Acknowledgement

All publications must include the statement that the results were generated with the assistance of EU financial support (Article 38.1.2, MGA). Thus, any communication activity related to EUROCHAMP-2020 must:

  1. Display the EU emblem;
  2. Include the following text: "This project/work has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme through the EUROCHAMP-2020 Infrastructure Activity under grant agreement No 730997”.

Example:

“This project/work has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme through the EUROCHAMP-2020 Infrastructure Activity under grant agreement No 730997”.

Open Access

In Horizon 2020 Open Access to Scientific Peer Reviewed Publications has been anchored as an ‘underlying principle’. This means that it has become obligatory for all projects to ensure open access to all peer-reviewed scientific publications relating to their results (free, online access for any user). Open Access is compatible with copyright, peer review, preservation, prestige, quality, career-advancement, indexing, and other features and supportive services associated with conventional scholarly literature.

Procedure for publishing EUROCHAMP-2020 related work

Users can make use of the OpenAIRE portal provided by the EC. This step is not compulsory but it is strongly recommended by EC guidelines. OpenAIRE can be used for two purposes:

  1. it can function simply as a research engine, for researchers to find a suitable online repository which provides Open Access, in case they do not have a preferred one yet;
  2. authors can also upload their publication directly on OpenAIRE, which functions as an online directory itself (through the service Zenodo). Uploading a publication on OpenAIRE will make sure that the work will be linked to EUROCHAMP-2020 project (while uploading the publication, it is fundamental to mark the section in which it is asked whether the publication is linked to any European project; EUROCHAMP is already in the list of possible projects).

In case users do not want to make us of the OpenAIRE portal, they can alternatively inform the Project Office (eurochamp2020@lisa.u-pec.fr), by sending them a list of compulsory information about their publication: DOI number, type of publication, publisher, country of publication, inform whether the publication is a peer reviewed work and if it is a collaboration between the public and the private sector.
